Of cause the body can be improved upon. Over at Darran Barefoot I found this great post.
With a 3 1/2-inch needle, Salerno would pump a small dose of collagen into his patient’s Grafenberg Spot and make it swell to the size of a quarter…
[the patient reported that after the operation], she could reach climax […]

Watch this flash video. It’s a fun and informed dystopian idea of the future as It might evolve.

Arstechnica has an interesting post about how a german government agency called FNR (german languae link) is planning to fund wikified German-language information about specialized renewable resource topics.
The FNR won’t be getting any special treatment, though, in the sense that their articles will still be available for editing by anyone on the Internet. This […]

A new report from Copenhagen Bussiness School’s CFT, Have PR and The Danish actors guild (Dansk Skuespillerforbund) concludes that for each government funded dollar that is used to support theatres in Copenhagen, the society gets a net benifit of 3,3 dollars.
The report (in danish - pdf) can be downloaded here (0,5MB).
I think (sic! - greenwich […]

I’ll properly start a small pro bono consulting ‘firm’ soon (contact me if interested; I need a php/mysql programmer and maybe a SNA/ONA expert). The webpage as I envision it will be very simple - In fact so much so, that simpleCMS is likely to be sufficient.
However… I like the tunes of bells and whistles […]

Just revisited my old and long gone blog from 2004 (www.efterdeadline.abatonet.dk):There was no akismet spam filter, but more then 48.000 socalled ‘comments’ instead… I will delete the whole thing… Goodbye efter deadline blog.
However - I can’t bear to delete my first webpage from 2000 - Juliusstrasse

This TED talk video presentation (07:40 minutes) by a guy I didn’t know is really jaw dropping. And a demo version of the software (photosynth) is already online here.
From the guy’s (aka Blaise Aguera y Arcas) profile page on TED:
Photosynth itself is a vastly powerful piece of software capable of taking a wide variety of […]

e61i captured the below poster this morgning. (taken @ Forum, CPH, DK)
BTW: Behind me was a beginning line-up to this evenings Pearl Jam concert. The crowd was a mixed one - from the old grunge days and fwd. Most people expects a remamberable concert, due to the 2000 accident a Roskilde (se this post at […]

Birger showed me this painting by Bruegel (wikipedia link). Painted in 1565 it shows us what natural farming is all about, and all the funny ideas and constructs we employ about “the good old days” (which revealing enough was long before the proponent was born)… (I just tried googleing for examples of “nostalgia argument” […]

Since the beginning at mount temple I’ve been an admirer of Mr. Paul Hewson aka Bonovox aka Bono, Lead singer of Feedback, The hype, U2 (Irish (religiously inspired, folk-fired and punk-pricked) rock band. I have however watched his climb to the top of the feel-good agenda with mixed feelings. One the one hand, a good […]

Some time ago I may have been blogging about a great dataset becoming available to the public (enron emails)? Anyway - There is now this video out on youtube…. I like, i like… (the recipe involves python and nerdiness… But fear not - commercial software will save us all in the end? Maybe?)

This is so cool, frightning, awesome, inspirring - yet simple and beutifull: Equip people with infra-red transmitting badges. Log the transimissions (ingoing and outgoing IR signals) and calculate a ‘contribution index’. Then compare this with psychometrics: The researches found that the data strongly correlated with neuroticism and correlation (0.74 and 0.52 respectively).

Some time ago I signed up @ Imity.com. I told my friends about it - but never actually downloaded the app to my phone. The peoplespotting and concert analysis have me convinced all over again. (thx classy)
Update: I had problems installing imity on my new phone (nokia e61). First I tried the e70 version but […]

For the last few minutes I’ve been trying to find some comparative evaluation / review of aid agencies… So far in vain. Off cause such a review is not an easy task to embark on: The agencies tasks differ, the goals are not always clear, and when they are, the effect is hard to […]

This sounds very appealing to me. I never thought about social finance… Pertaining to the culture element raised in the article I guess two key factors are working: a) the propensity to invest (high in US) and the amount of generalized trust (social capital) (high in Denmark).
For me the idea is also pleasing in the […]
