Skype To-go; it’s slowly happening - globalization

juli 3rd, 2007

Just discovered skype’s (new?) service “to-go“. If you are a skype-pro user you can now use your regular cell phone connection to call one (1) international number at the cheap skype-out rate - without being near a wifi hotspot, or othervise online. My wonderful soulmate lives far far away; this will make it a lot easier to get a hold of her (insert beating heart here).

I suspect this move from skype will somehow be countered/met by gizmo and other similar services. And btw - since I mostly dial only one international number; i really hardly have a need for fring, and other mobile applications (truphone).

Simplicity has arrived!

P.s. I wonder if this is related to the new EU legislation entered into force on the 30th of june? It must be. Go go EU!
